Why I do this work

Like many of the women I work with, I grew up learning to stay small. To accommodate. To long for connection while quietly abandoning myself to find it.

It took my own unraveling through spiritual practice, nervous system work, and a lot of honest reflection to understand what had actually happened. Not just in my relationships, but in my body and my sense of who I actually was.

What I came to understand changed everything.

Most women who struggle in their relationships don't lack self-awareness. They lack a self that was ever fully safe to inhabit. They learned to hide so early and so completely that by adulthood they had no idea who they actually were beneath all the adapting.

That realization became the foundation of everything I do.

I don't work with women to help them find better relationships. I work with them to help them find themselves. Because when a woman finally feels safe being fully who she is, her choices change. Not because she tried harder, but because something in her body finally shifted.

Why I do this work

Like many women, I grew up in a space where emotional closeness wasn’t always modeled. I learned to stay small, quiet, and accommodating, longing for connection but often abandoning myself to find it.

It took a painful unraveling and deep healing through spiritual practice, nervous system work, and inner reflection for me to reclaim my voice and realign with my values.

Along the way, I kept asking myself: What if I had learned all of this earlier?

That question became my calling. Today, I mentor teen girls so they don’t have to wait until adulthood to feel safe in who they are, to trust themselves, and to make choices that honor their worth.

When a girl is grounded in self-trust, everything begins to shift. Her relationships change. Her future opens. And the legacy she carries forward becomes one of wholeness and truth.

The Heart Behind My Method

With nearly 20 years in education and a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy, I bring both clinical depth and practical grounding to this work. My approach draws from Internal Family Systems, somatic awareness, nervous system science, and spiritual honesty.

I don't guide from a professional background alone. I meet this work with lived experience and a genuine understanding of what it costs a woman to keep choosing herself last.

The modalities I use are not techniques layered on top of each other. They are woven together intentionally, because the women I work with are not one-dimensional and neither is their healing.

There's a gospel song I've carried with me since childhood — This Little Light of Mine. It comes back to me every time I sit with a woman in this work. Because that's exactly what I see. The light was never gone. It just got buried beneath years of hiding, performing, and adapting to survive. Everything I do is in service of that one thing. Clearing what's on top so she can finally let it shine.

The Heart Behind My Method

With nearly 20 years in education, a Master’s in Marriage & Family Therapy, and a trauma-informed, soul-centered approach, I bring both depth and practicality to the work I do with adolescent girls.

I'm also a mom to two teenage boys, so I understand the emotional landscape of adolescence from the inside out. The pressure, the disconnection, the desire to help but not always knowing how. I don't just guide from a professional background. I meet this work with lived experience and a deep reverence for the sacred responsibility of raising the next generation.

Each session blends evidence-based tools with intuition and care. Drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gabor Maté’s Compassionate Inquiry, Reiki, somatic awareness, and spiritual coaching, I create a space where your daughter can slow down, feel safe, and start hearing herself again.

This isn't about fixing what's wrong. It's about remembering and reconnecting her to what's already right within.

And from that place, a more empowered way of being begins to unfold.

For Parents of Teens

If you found your way here through the summer retreat or are looking for support for your daughter, you're in the right place.

My work with teen girls and tweens is grounded in the same nervous system science and identity-based approach. You can learn more about how I support adolescents and what that looks like practically.
